Do those look like skinny thighs?

Brooke had her 4 month appointment yesterday.  She dropped from 15th percentile to 2nd percentile for weight.  The doctor wants me to up her feedings, and start waking her up in the night to feed her.  But look at those rolly polly thighs?  How can she be too skinny?

Our friends came over for dinner, and brought their adorable baby Hamilton to play with Brooke.  She was very interested in him, and liked to just watch him.  I also love that he is two month younger than Brooke, and somehow they are the same height.   I don't have high hopes for her future basketball career. 

Dancing Queen

Brooke loves to dance more than anything.  She throws her little head back, and has the biggest smile I've ever seen.  It makes me want to dance all day!  Please ignore the paint covered sweatshirt.  We were actually painting, I swear.

Growing pains...or gains?

2 weeks old

3 months and two weeks old

 When I spend everyday with her, sometimes I don't notice how much she has grown.  I tried on a outfit that she wore when she first came home from the hospital a few days ago.  She looked like a stuff sausage!  I wanted to recreate her original photo to really compare.  Ignore how unflattering the recent photo is.  She's getting so big!

We were given this cute heart outfit by some friends.  Perfect to celebrate Valentine's Day.  But she also kind of looks like Hans and Franz.  I think she's ready to pump me up!

Jenny does such a good job reading to Brooke every day.  Who knows how much she can absorb but I think it's really cute and Brooke is starting to "follow" along!

We found these spring blue cords on clearance the other night and they're Brooke's new favorite!

We then after all of this decided to check out a new restaurant Toki Underground along H Street.  It was recently written up in the NYTimes so we got there right as it opened at 5:00 to get in and get out.  However, getting in was tricky.  There was a line and we had to wait an hour to get in all for some dumplings and ramen.  Brooke slept the whole time and was a total champ.  The verdict on the restaurant....over-rated!  The Dumpling House is much better and no wait involved!
